Spying has existed since ancient times. Modern tactics of espionage and dedicated government intelligence agencies have been developed since the late 19th century.
We’ll briefly cover the history of MI6 and the CIA and bring ourselves to a contemporary context by reading the emerging corporate/industrial espionage. Motivation for spying, such as emotional rewards, is another topic that we’re anticipating more discussion from the participants.
